Marijuana, Cocaine Found during Hurlock Traffic Stop

HURLOCK, Md.- A Hurlock man is arrested on drug possession charges after a deputy with the Dorchester County Sheriff's Office conducted a traffic stop. 

Friday, Feb. 5, the sheriff's office said the deputy pulled over 25-year-old Jerod Kimble at Poplar St. and Dogwood Dr. 

According to the sheriff's office, the deputy noticed an odor of marijuana coming from the car. 

After searching the vehicle, deputies said a baggie containing marijuana was found. The deputy also discovered a baggie filled with powdered cocaine while searching Kimble for weapons. 

Deputies said Kimble was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute, Maintaining a Common Nuisance, and Possession of Paraphernalia.

The sheriff's office said he is being held on $50,000 bond. 

The Hurlock Police Department assisted with the traffic stop.
