1 Held, 1 Sought in Alleged Human Trafficking of Delaware Girl

ELLICOTT CITY, Md. (AP/WBOC)- Police in Howard County, Md. have arrested a woman and are seeking a man accused of forcing a 17-year-old Delaware girl into prostitution in Maryland and Virginia.
    
Howard County police said in a news release Wednesday that detectives monitoring a website known for advertising prostitution arranged to meet one of the women.
    
Officers say investigators met the woman, who is 17, at a hotel earlier this month, and learned that she was being prostituted.
    
Authorities arrested a woman in a Cadillac who had dropped the girl off at the hotel. Nineteen-year-old Janice Figueroa of Atlantic City, N.J., was arrested and charged with human trafficking and prostitution. She is being held on $1 million bond in the Howard County Detention Center. 
    
Police are looking for a man who was also in the Cadillac, but escaped through a nearby business. He is 28-year-old Nathaniel Lee Thompson of Dover, Del.

The girl was placed with Child Protective Services to be reunited with her family, police said.
