ELLICOTT CITY, Md. (AP/WBOC)- Police in Howard County, Md. have arrested a woman and are seeking a man accused of forcing a 17-year-old Delaware girl into prostitution in Maryland and Virginia.

Howard County police said in a news release Wednesday that detectives monitoring a website known for advertising prostitution arranged to meet one of the women.

Officers say investigators met the woman, who is 17, at a hotel earlier this month, and learned that she was being prostituted.

Authorities arrested a woman in a Cadillac who had dropped the girl off at the hotel. Nineteen-year-old Janice Figueroa of Atlantic City, N.J., was arrested and charged with human trafficking and prostitution. She is being held on $1 million bond in the Howard County Detention Center.

Police are looking for a man who was also in the Cadillac, but escaped through a nearby business. He is 28-year-old Nathaniel Lee Thompson of Dover, Del.

The girl was placed with Child Protective Services to be reunited with her family, police said.

Anyone with information on Thompson's whereabouts is asked to call (410) 313-STOP.
