Dover Police Investigate Attempted Armed Robbery at 7-Eleven

DOVER, Del. - Police are investigating an armed robbery attempt at the 7-Eleven in Dover's Hamlet Shopping Center.

According to Dover Police, a man entered the Walker Road location Thursday night just after 8 and demanded cash, while showing the store clerk a knife. Officers say as the clerk was starting to comply, a customer disrupted the suspect, and he ran away without any money.

The suspect is described as a white man in his 20's, with blue eyes and a large build, wearing a camouflage mask, black cargo pants, a gray sweatshirt, and black boots, according to police.
