Milford Woman Charged with Forgery and Theft

MILFORD, Del.- Police arrested and charged a 22-year-old Milford woman for forgery and theft.

Milford police say the charges stem from an incident that occurred at the United Check Cashing business on on Jan. 9. 

Police say Kadijah Brown was issued a check by local government. According to police, Brown then reported that check as being lost or stolen and received a replacement check.  Police say Brown then took both checks into the business and cashed both. It was later discovered that one of the checks was no longer valid for payment. 

Brown was charged with forgery 2nd-degree and theft false pretense under $1500. Brown was arraigned and released on $2,500 unsecured bond.
