Suspect Arrested After Harrington Bank Robbery

HARRINGTON, Del.- Police arrested a man in connection with a bank robbery in Harrington.

Police say they were alerted to a "hold up alarm" at WSFS Bank in the first block of Commerce Street on Saturday.

Once police arrived, they got a description of the suspect from the tellers and began searching the area with the assistance of officers from the Felton Police Department, Delaware State Police, and the Greenwood Police Department.

Police found the suspect, 53-year-old Franklin Sanders, on Farmington Road 13 minutes after units were first notified.

Sanders was arrested and charged with robbery 1st- degree and theft over $1,500. He was arraigned via video phone at Justice of the Peace Court 7 in Dover and Committed to SCI in lieu of $51,000 secured bond. 

In addition, he had an outstanding capias from Justice of the Peace Court 3 in Georgetown and given a $100 cash bond.
