MILTON, Del.- Delaware State Police have released the name of a woman killed in a Monday afternoon crash west of Milton.

Troopers identified the woman as 71-year-old Ann M. Enders of Georgetown.

According to police, shortly before 3 p.m. Enders was driving westbound on Sand Hill Road and stopped at the flashing red light at the intersection of Gravel Hill Road. Police said that meanwhile, 45-year-old John Klaude of Camden-Wyoming, was approaching the intersection with a flashing yellow light.

Troopers said that for an unknown reason, Enders then entered into the intersection and into the direct path of the Klauder. Police said Klauder applied the brakes, but was unable to avoid hitting her car.

Police say Enders was pronounced dead at the scene.

Klauder was taken to Bayhealth Milford Memorial Hospital where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and released.

The DSP Collision Reconstruction Unit is continuing its investigation into this incident.  SR30 at Sand Hill Road was closed for approximately two hours while the crash was investigated and cleared.
