DOVER, Del. - The Dover Fire Department responded after a truck drove into a house early Saturday morning.

According to the fire department, it happened on the 1300 block of Walker Road just before 2 a.m.

Crews got the driver out of the truck and then searched the house for any possible victims. Fire officials say everyone inside was unharmed and evacuated safely.

Fire officials say the truck driver was removed from the truck and taken to a local trauma center for evaluation.

As the Special Ops units began to arrive, the building was stabilized and shored. When the building was sufficiently fortified by the team, a tow truck removed the vehicle from the structure.

The Red Cross was contacted for temporary housing of the displaced occupants. The scene was placed under control and turned over to the City of Dover Police and FMO for investigation.
