WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - Former Delaware Treasurer Chip Flowers says he has forgiven those who he believes wronged him during his time serving in office.
Flowers spoke to members of the National Association of African Americans in Human Resources in Wilmington on Friday.
Flowers ended his re-election campaign for treasurer in 2014, just days after his former deputy filed a police complaint charging him with harassment. He was later cleared of the charges.
During his speech on Friday, Flowers said while it was difficult going through what he went through during his tenure, he has forgiven those who he believed wronged him.
Flowers has since moved to Massachusetts, where he is currently president of the law firm Flowers Counsel Group.
