O.C. Condo Building Fire Under Investigation

OCEAN CITY, Md.- A Friday morning fire prompted the evacuation of two people from the Cara Mar condominium complex at 12305 Wight St. in Ocean City. 

Ocean City police spokesperson Lindsay Richard said that at around 7:30 a.m. firefighters and police responded to a fire at the five-story condominium complex. 

According to Richard, there were only two people inside the building at the time and they were safely evacuated. The fire was extinguished by 8 a.m., Richard said.

There were no reported injuries. There is no word yet on the extent of damage to the building.

The Ocean City Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the cause of the blaze.
