DOVER, Del.- A Dover woman is facing multiple charges following accusations that she attempted to rob a 71-year-old man at a bank ATM.

Dover police said the incident happened shortly after 9 a.m. Wednesday, March 9, when 37-year-old Cloreese McCray approached the victim as he completed a withdrawal from an ATM at Wells Fargo Bank, located at 100 N. DuPont Highway.

Police said McCray, who had her face covered, grabbed the victim by his arm and attempted to take money from him.  The victim struggled and McCray fled the scene empty-handed, according to investigators. A description of the suspect was broadcast to responding officers and McCray was contacted a short time later and taken into custody.

McCray was charged with attempted second-degree robbery, wearing a disguise during the commission of a felony and second-degree assault of a victim over the age of 62.  She was released on $4,000 secured bond.
