REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. - Rehoboth Beach Police are asking for the public's help in locating a woman wanted in connection with forgery of a stolen check.

According to police, an active warrant is out for the arrest of former Lewes resident Sade Marquez, 30.

Police say Marquez stole a personal check while inside a local business on Jan. 19. Upon realizing the check was missing, the victim contacted his bank and learned the check had been made out to Country Boy Fabrication and General Contractors, a business partly owned by Marquez, according to police.

Police say the victim's signature had been forged on the stolen check, which was written out for more than $1,000.

According to police, Marquez might be driving an orange, 2006 Dodge Charger with Delaware registration 518008. Anyone who knows where Marquez is should contact Detective Tyler Whitman at (302) 524-1391 or submit a tip through Delaware Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-847-3333 or online at http://delaware.crimestoppersweb.com.
