UPDATE: Man Dies From Injuries After Crash in Lincoln

LINCOLN, Del.- A Lincoln man has died from his injuries after a crash involving a car and a pickup truck Wednesday afternoon.

Troopers said that at around 4:43 p.m. Wednesday, 50-year-old Linda Evans, of Dover, was driving a 2010 Ford Focus southbound on Cedar Creek Road north of Benson Road. Police said she was waiting to turn left into a private drive when 17-year-old Aaron B. Stromer, of Milford, rear-ended her with his 1998 Ford F-150.

Linda Evans and her 3-year-old son were properly restrained and transported by EMS to Bayhealth Milford Memorial Hospital where they were treated and released with non-life-threatening injuries, according to police. 

Louester Evans, 77, and her husband Elie A. Evans, 78, both of Lincoln, were transported by EMS to Milford Memorial where Louester was admitted in serious condition. Police said Elie was later airlifted to Christiana Medical Center, where he died from his injuries Thursday afternoon.

Police said Stromer was properly restrained and did not report any injuries. A 15-year-old female passenger was properly restrained and transported by EMS to Milford Memorial where she was treated and released with non-life-threatening injuries. according to police.

SR30 between Fleatown and Benson roads was closed for approximately three hours while the crash was investigated. No charges have been filed at this time, police said.
