Two Arrested in Smyrna Drug Bust

SMYRNA, Del.- Smyrna police say they arrested two people after seizing a large amount of marijuana while executing a search warrant.

On March 12, officers responded to the 300 block of Braddock Road for a reported domestic disturbance.  Upon arrival, an officer stopped Emory Monroe, who police say was involved in the disturbance. Police say Monroe was in possession of about 50 grams of marijuana.  Other officers arrived at home and made contact with 38-year-old Genevia Wiltbank.

Police later got a search and seizure warrant, which was was executed with the assistance of a K9 team.  Inside the home, police say they found an additional 200 grams of marijuana as well as digital scales and other assorted paraphernalia.  

Both Monroe and Wiltbank were transported to the Smyrna Police Department where they were charged with possession of marijuana other than personal use quantity, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.  Both Suspects were arraigned via video court in JP #7 and were released on unsecured bond pending a future court hearing.
