Man Arrested after Police Pursuit in Milford

MILFORD, Del.- Milford Police arrested a Lincoln man after he refused to stop his vehicle for police. 

On March 11, Milford Police officer attempted to perform a traffic stop on the vehicle 33-year-old Derrick Morris driving, after police observed a traffic violation.

Police say Morris refused to stop,  leading the officers on a pursuit. After several minutes of traveling at a high rate of speed, Morris finally stopped his vehicle in the 900 block of North Dupont Blvd. Morris then surrendered to the Milford Police and was taken into custody without incident. 

Morris was charged with felony disregarding a police officer signal, aggressive driving, failure to stop at a red light and numerous other traffic violations. Morris was also wanted out of Kent County CCP, Sussex County CCP and Kent County Superior Court. Morris was arraigned and committed to SCI in default of a secured bond.
