DOVER, Del.- Dover police have arrested one suspect and are seeking another in connection with a Monday night stabbing that put a man in the hospital.

Police said the incident happened at around 7:20 p.m. when 17-year-old Kyree Robinson and another unknown juvenile attacked the man while he was sitting on a set of steps at a home on the 100 block of South Bradford St.

Police said that during the attack, the victim was stabbed in the chest, back, neck, and head. According to police, the attack was stopped by police within seconds as two officers pulled onto South Bradford Street for an unrelated disorderly person complaint. Police said the officers immediately took action and both suspects began to run from them. Officers were able to take Robinson into custody a short distance away while the other suspect fled the scene.

The victim was hospitalized overnight at Bayhealth Kent General Hospital for his injuries and is expected to make a full recovery, police said.

Robinson was charged with second-degree assault, possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony, second-degree conspiracy and resisting arrest. He was placed in a juvenile detention center on $31,500 secured bond.
