EDEN, Md. - A Somerset County teenager was arrested early Wednesday morning for driving without a license.

According to the Wicomico County Sheriff's Office, a deputy pulled over 18-year-old Jamarkus Brumskin of Eden for speeding on Ocean Gateway in Hebron at around 2:40 a.m.

The sheriff's office says Brumskin was clocked driving 85 mph in a 55 mph zone and 97 mph in a 65 mph zone on the U.S. 50 bypass. After the traffic stop, the deputy learned Brumskin did not have a driver's license and had been charged five days earlier with the same offense.

According to the sheriff's office, the deputy also discovered that a temporary registration on the car Brumskin was driving had expired on March 17.

Following an initial appearance before the district court commissioner, Brumskin was released on personal recognizance.
