Traffic Stop by Harrington Police Nets 8 Pounds of Marijuana

HARRINGTON, Del.- Harrington Police arrested a New Jersey man after finding more than eight pounds of marijuana during a traffic stop.

On Friday afternoon, police stopped 31-year-old Kyle Camper for speeding. While speaking to him, officers say they noticed Camper's hands were shaking profusely and say he was acting nervous. 

The Harrington Police Department K-9 conducted a scan of the vehicle and alerted to the presence of narcotics. Police then searched the truck and found a large suitcase containing several packages of marijuana and two smaller bags containing more bags of marijuana. Police say it was more than eight pounds of marijuana in total. They also found over $12,000 in suspected drug money. 

Camper was charged with Possessing a controlled substance in a Tier 4 quantity, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Speeding. He was arraigned via video phone at Justice of the Peace Court 7 and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institute in default of $15,101 secured bond.
