Police Search for Man Who Robbed North Dover Gas Station

DOVER, Del. - The Delaware State Police is investigating the robbery of a gas station in North Dover that occurred Saturday evening. Police said the robbery occurred at approximately 9:55 p.m., as a male suspect entered the Shore Stop, located at 3668 North DuPont Highway armed with an unknown type handgun.

The suspect approached the clerk and a customer at the counter and demanded money. The clerk complied with the suspect’s demands and turned over the cash. The suspect also removed the male customer’s wallet before exiting the store. The clerk and the customer were not injured.

The suspect was described as a black male, between 5’6” and 5'8", and between 150 and 160 lbs. The suspect was last seen wearing a dark colored sweatshirt, tan pants, and a mask covering his face. No further physical or clothing description is available at this time. Armed with an unknown type handgun.

This incident remains under investigation by the Delaware State Police. No video surveillance photos are available to be released at this time.
