Police: 7 Injured in Rt. 50 Crash

WHALEYVILLE, Md.- Maryland State Police say a total of 7 people were injured during a single-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon.

Troopers said it happened just after 3:30 p.m. on Rt. 50 eastbound at Bell Rd.

According to state police, a preliminary investigation showed 59-year-old Thomas Mihalyi, of Wheatland, CA was driving eastbound on Rt. 50 near Bell Rd. when his car left the highway, crashed into a ditch and flipped over.

Troopers said Mihalyi, 57-year-old passenger Theresa Mihalyi and 5 juveniles were all injured in the crash and taken by ambulance to PRMC.

State police continue to investigate.
