Dorchester County Fugitive Arrested

EAST NEW MARKET, Md.- Deputies arrest a man they say was wanted in a narcotics investigation, failed to appear in court in two different counties and violated probation in Dorchester County.

March 29, the sheriff's office said they arrested 29-year-old Tyvrin Todd at his home on Railroad Ave.

Deputies said Todd was involved in a police chase in Cambridge on Dec. 9, 2015 that stemmed from a narcotics investigation.

When officers went to Todd's house to arrest him, deputies said his mother and girlfriend refused to cooperate and told investigators he was not there.

The sheriff's office said deputies searched the house and found Todd hiding in the attic.

Deputies said Todd's mother, 48-year-old Paula Dockins, and Todd's girlfriend, 19-year-old Dya Barham, were both arrested and charged with Harboring a Fugitive.

According to the sheriff's office, Barham was released on $9,000 unsecured bond and Dockins was incarcerated on $9,000 bond.

Deputies said Todd was charged with 2 counts of Failure to Appear, 2 counts of Violation of Probation, Resisting Arrest, Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Cocaine, 3 counts of Possession of Paraphernalia and numerous motor vehicle charges.

According to deputies, a total of 52 grams of powdered cocaine was seized along with plastic baggies used to package the Cocaine and an electronic scale used to weigh the drug.

Deputies said Todd was held on a total of $265,000 bond.
