DOVER, Del. (WBOC/AP)- Police say a former Dover High School teacher and wrestling booster club volunteer has been charged with theft and misuse of a payment card.

Forty-six-year-old Brian Ogbin turned himself in Friday to the Dover Police Department and was charged with theft under $1,500 and unlawful use of a payment card under $1,500. He was released by Justice of the Peace Court 7 on $200 unsecured bond, according to police.

Ogbin's arrest follows an investigation into the wrestling team booster's account. Investigators said they found that a debit card issued to Ogbin for disbursing funds to the wrestling team was used twice at Dover Downs Casino, for a total of $510.

Authorities said there were also cash withdraws at a Wawa convenience store ATM on three separate occasions, totaling $220.

Finally, officials said more than $800 in profit from a wrestling fundraiser, for which Ogbin was responsible, was not added to the wrestling account and was missing. Investigators said that after reviewing documents associated with the fundraiser and bank documents, it was determined that the profit was not added into the wrestling account at any point.

Authorities said the alleged activity took place between September 2015 and Feb. 9 of this year.

Ogbin declined to comment when reached by telephone Monday.

Capital School District Superintendent Dan Shelton and Dover High School Principal Courtney Voshell said Monday that Ogbin was no longer a school employee.

School board minutes indicate that Ogbin resigned on Feb. 12.

Editor's note: This story has been corrected to show that Ogbin was a teacher and wrestling volunteer, but not a coach.
