CAMDEN, Del. - State police are investigating a two-car crash west of Camden that left a 41-year-old woman dead.

Troopers said it happened just before 1:30 p.m. Sunday as 62-year-old Nathaniel Plass, of Felton, was driving westbound on Willow Grove Rd. just west of Farm Ln.

According to state police, Kassia Pulley, of Chester, Md., was driving eastbound on Willow Grove Rd. west of Farm Ln. approaching Plass when, for unknown reasons, Plass' car crossed over into the eastbound lane and hit Pulley's car head-on.

Troopers said after both cars spun out, Plass' car continued westbound and came to a stop facing northwest in the center of the road.

According to troopers, Pulley's car continued eastbound and traveled off the south side of the road and into a ditch before coming to a stop facing westbound.

State police said Pulley, who was wearing a seat belt, sustained several traumatic injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Troopers say a passenger in Pulley's car, 39-year-old Ambrose Robinson, of Chester, Md., was not wearing a seat belt and was transported to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

According to state police, Plass was wearing a seat belt and was airlifted to the hospital where he received treatment for non life-threatening injuries.

Troopers say speed and alcohol do not appear to be factors in the crash.

Willow Grove Rd. in the area of the accident was shut down for two and a half hours Sunday while the crash scene was under investigation and cleared.
