Woman Charged in Dover Knife Attack

DOVER, Del.- Dover police have arrested a 36-year-old woman accused of attacking a man with a knife during an argument. 

Police said the incident happened shortly before 2 p.m. Sunday at a home located on Heritage Drive. 

According to police, when officers arrived on the scene, they met with a 27-year-old man who had multiple cuts to his head, face and arms. Police said they discovered that Tasha Ricks cut the victim with a large kitchen knife during an argument.  During the same incident, Ricks also strangled and assaulted a 16-year-old girl in the home, police said. 

Ricks was arrested and charged with second-degree assault, possession of a deadly weapon during commission of felony, strangulation, seven counts of endangering the welfare of a child and offensive touching. She was released after posting $38,750 secured bond.
