CAPE CHARLES, Va. (AP)- The Coast Guard has rescued three crew members from a disabled boat that was stranded in the Chesapeake Bay.

The Coast Guard was able to reach the 16-foot boat within less than an hour of receiving a distress signal Saturday afternoon.

The rescue boat, which was in the area on a training mission, towed the stranded vessel to Cape Charles. There were no injuries.

Senior Chief Petty Officer David Stone, coxswain for the case, urged boaters to inspect their vessels and equipment before venturing out.
