MILFORD, Del.- Police have arrested a Milford couple accused of abusing two young children at their home.

Milford police said the April 12 arrests of 57-year-old Ivray L. Sauls Sr. and 56-year-old Bridget M. Sauls stemmed from incidents that occurred during the month of April at their home on the 100 block of West Street.

Police said the 5-year-old and 2-year-old victims lived in the Sauls' home. Police said that during this time, the 2-year-old suffered numerous injuries, including a vast amount of burns. Investigators said they also learned the 2-year-old had not been given proper hygienic care. Both suspects were charged with second-degree child abuse and endangering the welfare of a child. Each was released on $3,000 unsecured bond.

Police said a 17-year-old girl, who was also residing at the home, was charged with first-degree child abuse for shoving the 2-year-old into a heater. She was arraigned and released on $3,900 unsecured bond.
