UPDATE: Easton Police Officer Involved in Serious Crash

EASTON, Md.- An Easton Police Officer was involved in a serious crash Saturday night.

Police say it happened just after 8 p.m. on Route 50 at High Street. According to Easton Police, Pfc. Michelle D. Schuerholz was waiting at the light to turn onto High Street when another car, driven by 19-year-old Brent  Hayman, crossed over and hit the cruiser head-on.

Police say the officer was flown to Shock Trauma. She is in stable condition, but is expected to undergo surgery. Hayman and his 17-year-old passenger were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
