CAMDEN-WYOMING, Del. - A Caroline County, Md. man is behind bars in connection with a discovered meth lab.

According to Delaware State Police, troopers responded to the 200 block of Willow Tree Circle in Camden-Wyoming around 5:30 p.m. Sunday to check on a truck parked in an empty lot. Responding troopers said two people were sleeping inside: 36-year-old Jeffrey Korell of Henderson, Md., and a 24-year-old woman from Arnold, Md. Troopers also said they smelled a strong, chemical odor coming from the truck.

After taking the two people into custody, police and other agencies searched the truck and found equipment and component mixtures of the manufacturing stages of meth, along with meth-making ingredients, according to  police.

Korell was charged with operating a clandestine laboratory and committed to the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center on $20,000 cash bond. As for the woman who was sleeping in the car, police said she was issued a civil violation for possession of 2.11 grams of marijuana and released.
