REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. - Police say a Dover man wanted on drug possession and resisting arrest charges turned himself into authorities Monday.

The Rehoboth Beach Police Department said 20-year-old David Brown was wanted by police after they said he ran away from a traffic stop April 25.

Police said Brown was arrested and charged with four misdemeanor crimes, including possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting arrest and criminal contempt of a domestic violence protective order.

According to police, 19-year-old Cason Marshall, of Dover, was pulled over for speeding April 25 on Rehoboth Avenue.

During the stop, police said Brown, a passenger in the car, got out of the car and ran away.

Police said Brown was arraigned out of the Justice of the Peace Court #2. He is being held on $1,700 unsecured bail at the Sussex Correctional Institution as a result of a probation violation.
