Police Searching for Suspect in Fruitland Post Office Robbery

FRUITLAND, Md.- Authorities are investigating a  robbery at the post office in Fruitland.

According to the U.S. Postal Inspection Service, the post office on East Main Street was robbed around 4:15 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.

Officials have not yet released any surveillance footage, but an inspector with the Postal Inspection Service described the suspect as a black man in his late 20s, around 6 feet 1 inch tall, and about 170 pounds with a slim-medium build. Inspector Penny Tserkis-Mullins says the suspect was wearing dark clothing and a ski mask at the time of the robbery.

Authorities are offering up to a $50,000 dollar reward for information that leads to an arrest and conviction for this robbery in Fruitland. If you have any information about this robbery, call 202-636-1479.
