MILFORD, Del. - Two people had to be rescued from the water Monday after their boat overturned in the Delaware Bay.

Sergeant John McDerby of the Division of Fish and Wildlife's Natural Resources Police tells WBOC officers responded early Monday afternoon to a report of an overturned vessel with two people in the water about four miles east of Cedar Creek.

According to McDerby, a good samaritan had already rescued the two people and brought them to shore by the time officers arrived. The victims were taken to Milford Memorial to be checked, and no injuries were reported.

As for the boat, officers were able to tow it back to the Cedar Creek boat ramp.

McDerby says Fish and Wildlife officers are investigating the accident.
