FENWICK ISLAND, Del. - A Maryland man suffered serious injuries following a Sunday night motorcycle crash in Fenwick Island.

According to Delaware State Police, 23-year-old Cody Becker of Manchester (Carroll County), Md. was riding a motorcycle northbound on Dukes Avenue when he attempted to turn left. Troopers said that as he did, Becker hit a truck, driven by 38-year-old Timothy Munro of Selbyville, which was headed eastbound on Lighthouse Road approaching the Dukes Avenue intersection.

Police said the motorcycle hit the front, right side of the truck, and Becker was thrown from the bike, landing in the intersection. According to police, he was wearing a helmet and was airlifted to Christiana Medical Center, where he is currently listed in critical condition.

Police said Munro pulled over immediately after the crash. He was properly restrained and did not suffer any injuries.

The DSP Collision Reconstruction Unit is investigating the incident and no charges have been filed at this time. Anyone who saw the accident happen is asked to contact Master Cpl. K. Argo at (302) 703-3264.  Information may also be provided by calling Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333, via the internet at www.delaware.crimestoppersweb.com, or by sending an anonymous tip by text to 274637 (CRIMES) using the keyword "DSP."
