SMYRNA, Del. (AP/WBOC) - Delaware prosecutors say they have filed a lawsuit against a Smyrna man who they say was running several massage parlors in the state as fronts for prostitution.

The Delaware Department of Justice said its attorneys filed the lawsuit on Friday in New Castle County Superior Court against 52-year-old Da Zhong Wang, a citizen of China who currently lives in the U.S. on an employment authorization card.

The lawsuit said Wang owned and operated four massage parlors throughout the state, including Middletown, Dover, Smyrna and Rehoboth Beach. In August, Wang pleaded guilty to one count of permitting prostitution. Undercover officers said that masseuses at Wang's parlors had offered them sex acts.

The lawsuit is seeking $100,000 for each of the seven violations of the Delaware Organized Crime and Racketeering Act. It also seeks to stop Wang from owning, operating or having any massage parlors in Delaware.

The DOJ said that as part of the suit, it will continue to investigate whether Wang still owns or controls the facilities or any others in Delaware, and will seek to close down and seize assets from any properties he controls.

It is unclear whether Wang has an attorney.
