Greensboro Man Arrested for Assault, Kidnapping

GREENSBORO, Md. - A Greensboro man was arrested after holding his brother at gunpoint, threatening to kill him and burn his house down, according to the Caroline County Sheriff's Office. 

According to the Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to 11850 Kibler Road in Greensboro at approximately 12:34 a.m. There, deputies found the victim, Michael Henry, who told police that he and his brother Matthew Henry were involved in a dispute or property and estate. Michael Henry told police that his brother held him at gunpoint for approximately six hours, threatening numerous times to kill him and burn his house down. Police said Michael Henry was able to escape just prior to calling the police.

Matthew Henry surrendered to Sheriff's Deputies over the phone. Search warrants for the property led to several pieces of evidence being seized, according to the Sheriff's Office.

Matthew Henry is charged with assault first and second degree, threat of arson, false imprisonment and reckless endangerment. The investigation is ongoing.
