Two Dover Men Arrested on Drug Charges

DOVER, Del.- A Dover man has been arrested after police say they found him with marijuana packaged for resale.

According to Dover Police, officers from the Street Crimes Unit and Delaware Probation and Parole found 23-year-old Dexter Brown in the area of South Kirkwood and Division streets on Tuesday around 2:15 p.m.

Police said Brown was in possession of 5 grams of marijuana, and a 9mm handgun and a bottle of prescription medication were in plain view inside Brown's car.

Officers also contacted 25-year-old Willie Thompson of Dover who was with Brown and found him in possession of 49 grams of marijuana, according to police.

Thompson was released after being charged with one count of possession of marijuana, while police said Brown was charged with the following:

  • Possession with Intent to Deliver Promethazine
  • Possession with Intent to Deliver Marijuana
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance
  • Possession of Drug paraphernalia
  • Possession of Firearm by Person Prohibited
  • Possession of Firearm During Commission of Felony
