DELMARVA - Due to the rainy weather expected on Memorial Day, the location for the Worcester County Veterans Memorial Day Service in Ocean Pines and the Kent County Memorial Day Service in Dover have both been moved indoors.

According to Sharyn O'Hare with the Veterans Memorial, the service has been moved to the Ocean Pines Community Hall. located at 235 Ocean Pkwy, Ocean Pines, MD 21811, in the gymnasium. The service will be at the same time, at 11 a.m. on Monday.

The service was originally scheduled to be held at the Worcester County Veterans Memorial at Ocean Pines, but organizers decided the weather forecast called for the event to be moved indoors.

Also the annual Memorial Day ceremony at the Kent County Veterans Memorial Park has been moved to the Dover firehouse at 103 S. Governor's Avenue and Reed St. The time will be the same at 2 p.m. Organizers ask that you do not park in the fire house parking lot.
