Heroin, Marijuana Discovered During Dorchester County Traffic Stop

HURLOCK, Md. - A Hurlock man was arrested after a Dorchester Sheriff's Office K-9 discovered marijuana and heroin during a traffic stop.

According to the Dorchester County Sheriff's Office, a deputy made a traffic stop on Tues., May 24. During the stop, a Sheriff's Office narcotics K-9 detected illegal narcotics inside of the vehicle.

During a search of the vehicle and the passenger, 32-year-old Phillip William Elliott of Hurlock, the deputy found 30 grams of marijuana and 24 individual packets of heroin, according to the Sheriff's Office.

Elliott was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of heroin, possession of paraphernalia and possession of heroin with intent to distribute. Elliott was released by a court commissioner.
