CAMBRIDGE, Md. - A Cambridge man has been charged with rape after police say he threatened a woman with a gun, then kidnapped her and sexually assaulted her in his home.

Cambridge Police said Tuesday that officers responded to a rape investigation on Sunday that occurred in the 200 block of Byrne Street. Police said detectives met with the victim who told them that while in the 110 block of Locust Street, she was confronted by a man she knew identified as Christopher M. Hall, 21, of Cambridge. The woman told police that Hall had a handgun in his waist band and told her to walk with him. Scared for her life, police said the woman followed Hall to his home in the 200 block of Byrne Street. That's when, according to the victim, Hall advanced himself on her and would not stop, which led to the victim being raped.

Once the investigation was complete, police said Hall was arrested and charged with 1st-degree rape, false imprisonment, firearm use/felony- violent crime, and other related charges. Hall is being held in the Dorchester County Detention Center on a $950,000 bond.
