Seaford Man Arrested After Loaded Gun Found in Hotel Room

SEAFORD, Del.- Seaford police say officers arrested a man after drugs and a loaded gun were discovered inside of his room at the Days Inn on Sussex Highway.

Officers said they responded to the Days Inn at around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 31 for a report of a gun and a wallet left inside of a room. Police found the occupant of the room, Marc Muse, 30, of Seaford, nearby in the hotel.  

Police said that after a brief struggle, Muse was taken into custody and found to be in possession of about 7 grams of marijuana, 1.9 grams of heroin, 5.6 grams of crack cocaine and $517 in cash.  A 9mm handgun was also found inside of the room along with his wallet, according to police.

Muse was charged with possession of heroin, marijuana and crack cocaine, as well as possession of a firearm by a person prohibited, resisting arrest and criminal mischief. He was ordered held in the Sussex Correctional Institute in default of a $1,325 secured bond.
