REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. - A homeless, registered sex offender has been arrested for indecent exposure in Rehoboth Beach.

According to police, officers were called to the new Rehoboth Beach Parking Division Building on Lake Avenue on Sunday around 5 a.m. Police said a woman who was working inside reported an unknown man exposing his genitals to her while standing outside a window.

Police later identified the man as 52-year-old Lewis Brittingham, a homeless man from Georgetown who police say is a registered, tier 2 sex offender.

Investigators reviewed surveillance video and said they saw Brittingham walking around the outside of the building, at one point with his genitals exposed. According to police, Brittingham could specifically be seen pulling down his pants once he saw the victim inside the building.

Police say Brittingham was identified on Tuesday and charged with second-degree indecent exposure and third-degree criminal trespassing. He was arraigned and issued a $500 unsecured bail but committed to Sussex Correctional Institution for a probation violation, according to police.
