OCEAN CITY, Md.- Maryland State Police arrested a Prince George's County man after discovering the motorcycle he was operating was stolen.

Early Saturday morning, police located a motorcycle on Atlantic Avenue in Ocean City that had fled from a traffic stop on Coastal Highway earlier.

Police identified the driver at Brian David Jr., 24, of Upper Marlboro. Police say a registration check revealed the registration plates were reported stolen in Prince George's County. Police then conducted a VIN check, and say the motorcycle was reported stolen in Virginia.

Police arrested David. Officers say they also found 7.5 grams of marijuana, a digital scale, and a loaded handgun in his backpack. Police say was found to be prohibited from possessing a firearm due to an active protective order against him and active warrants through Prince George's County and Colonial Heights, VA.
