DOVER, Del. - Police have arrested two people they say are responsible for a carjacking last week at the Dover Mall.

Officers from the Dover Police Department arrested 22-year-old Benjamin Beyer and 21-year-old Taylor Cox on Tuesday, after identifying them based on witness statements.

Police said the suspects followed the victim to his car in the parking lot of Dick's Sporting Goods on June 8, told him they had a gun and forced him to drive away. According to police, the suspects drove to the Milford area and made the victim get out of the car on West Woodside Drive. The car was located a short time later.

Beyer and Cox were both charged with carjacking and conspiracy. Police said Beyer was committed to JTVCC and Cox to Baylor Women's Correctional Center in default of $62,000 secured bond.
