Milford Man Facing Child Sexual Abuse Charges

MILFORD, Del.- Police arrested and charged a 36-year-old Milford man in connection with sexual assaults of children.

According to Milford Police, the assaults happened between June 1, 2005 and June 8, 2016 at homes on Pierce Street and King Highway. 

Police say Edgar Arreaga-Bravo engaged in sexual acts with an 8-year-old girl and a 14-year-old girl beginning in June of 2005.

He was charged with Rape 1st-Degree Victim less than 12yo (3 counts), Rape 3rd-Degree Victim less than 14yo, Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Child, Unlawful Sexual Contact 3rd Degree and Sexual Abuse of a Child by a Person of Trust 1st Degree. 

Bravo was arraigned and committed to SCI in default of $300,400 cash bond.

    With temperatures expected to drop in the coming weeks, fire safety officials are urging people who use space heaters to warm up rooms or homes to be careful in where and when they use the devices.

    Dover Assistant Fire Chief Chris Jacobs said there does tend to be an increased number of space heater fires once it becomes much colder. Those incidents, he said, are often caused by people who place heaters near combustible materials or leave them unattended while still on.
