Salisbury Man Arrested for Multiple Burglaries in Wicomico Co.

Posted: Updated:

WICOMICO COUNTY, Md.- The Wicomico County Bureau of Investigation made an arrest Thursday in connection to multiple burglaries reported in and around the Delmar and Parsonsburg area over the last month.

Investigators said the Wicomico County Sheriff's Office and the Maryland State Police Barrack responded to the burglaries during the first two weeks of June.  Following those initial reports, WBI investigators got involved and set up target enforcement and patrols in and around that area, investigators said. Through that investigation, several possible suspect vehicles were identified.

On Thursday around 1:30 p.m., members of the Wicomico County Sheriff's Office Community Action Team conducted a traffic stop on a green, Ford Escort driven by 34-year-old Christopher Manger. A license check revealed Manger's license was suspended, investigators said. He was subsequently arrested for driving on a suspended license.

According to investigators, while in custody, they were able to determine that several items that Manger had on him when he was arrested, were items that were stolen during the previous burglaries. Police got a search warrant, and investigators said a search of Manger's home on Atlantic Avenue in Salisbury yielded more stolen items.

Manger was charged in connection with multiple burglaries and was turned over to the custody of the Wicomico County Detention Center, investigators said.

Anyone with information regarding the recent burglaries is asked to contact Detective Robert Wilson of the Wicomico Bureau of Investigation at (410) 548-4898.
