Georgia Man Wanted for Attempted Murder Arrested in Dorchester Co.

RELIANCE, Md.- Authorities say a man accused of shooting two people in Georgia has been arrested in Reliance.

According to the Dorchester County Sheriff's Office, police arrested 47-year-old Ronald Lofland of Cummings, Ga., at a trailer park in Reliance, after receiving a tip from a concerned citizen.

The Sheriff's Office said Lofland was wanted by police in Forsyth, Ga. following accusations that he shot a man and a woman on May 30 in Cummings, Ga.

Lofland is charged with two counts of attempted second-degree murder, being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm and violation of probation in Maryland.

According to the Sheriff's Office, Lofland had a Laurel, Del., address in 1992. He has been ordered held without bond and is awaiting extradition to Georgia.
