EASTON, Md.- On Saturday, Easton Police responded to a home on Plum Street for a report of a man who was intoxicated and wielding a knife.

Upon arrival at that home, Easton Police say they found Clementino DeJesus Lopez-Morales, 32, who had just finished threatening two of his roommates with a long, large kitchen knife. Police say he reportedly was wielding the knife, making threatening statements, as he also sharpened the knife against a long metal sharpener.

Easton Police say when he heard police being summoned, Lopez-Morales initially tried to hide. Police found him behind the back door of the residence and he was subsequently detained while police investigated the matter.

Police concluded their investigation and placed Lopez-Morales under arrest. He was transported to the Easton Police Department where he was formally charged and processed on 2 counts of Assault 1st Degree, 2counts of Assault 2nd Degree, and two counts of Wearing and Carrying a Dangerous and Deadly Weapon. He was taken before a District Court Commissioner for an Initial Appearance Hearing. He was remanded to the Talbot County Detention Center on a bond of $50,000.00 pending trial in this matter.
