Police Investigate Robbery at Cheswold Royal Farms

CHESWOLD, Del. - Police are investigating an early morning robbery of a Cheswold convenience store.

According to Delaware State Police, around 3:40 a.m. Thursday a male suspect entered the Royal Farms located at 47 Fast Landing Road. Police say the man confronted a 24-year-old male employee and demanded money from the cash register while armed with a handgun. The clerk handed over an undisclosed amount of cash, and the suspect ran out the back door, police said. No surveillance video is available at this time.

Police are actively searching for the suspect who they describe as a white man, between 30 and 40 years old, 5-foot-10 or 5-foot-11, last seen wearing a white t-shirt, khaki shorts and black sneakers.
