MILTON, Del. - Neighbors in Milton had an especially tough day in the heat on Friday, as the water across town was not running until close to 4 p.m. The water stopped running at approximately 9 a.m., due to a pierced water main at the Dogfish Head Brewery

Engineers for Dogfish Head told WBOC that the crews were doing some digging in the back of their property, as part of a construction project, when they struck the water main. This accident caused the water to start pouring out, which continued until close to 11 a.m. This accident caused water pressure to be impacted across town, until the water main could be repaired.

Engineers for Dogfish Head said that the location of the water main was "mislabeled," causing the accident.

Some neighbors,  such as Ann Parsons, said that the day without water made the high temperatures pretty uncomfortable.

"It was extremely hot," she said. "Sweaty. Dying. It's extremely hot out here today. So I'm not happy there's no water out here today."
