Ellendale Man Arrested on Drug & Gun Charges after Traffic Stop

HARRINGTON, Del.- Harrington Police arrested an Ellendale man on drug and gun charges after a traffic stop.

Police say it happened on Milford-Harrington Highway on July 15. Officers say they pulled over 20-year-old Jermaine Daniels for driving without wearing a seatbelt.

Officers say they smelled marijuana coming from the car and conducted a search. Police say they found 8.8 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia along with .38 caliber handgun concealed under a seat. Police say the gun was loaded. 

Police arrested Daniels. He was transported to the Harrington Police Department for processing. Daniels was charged with Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon, Possession of Marijuana other than personal quantity with an aggravating factor, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to wear seatbelt. Daniels was arraigned via video phone at Justice of the Peace Court 2 and was released on $6,125 unsecured bond.
