OC Police Use Snapchat to Nab Vehicle Theft Suspect

OCEAN CITY, Md. - A New York man was arrested in Ocean City over the weekend for stealing a car, and police say they found him using Snapchat.

Police say they were called to Seacrets Bar and Grille in the 5000 block of Coastal Highway Saturday morning just before 11 for a report of a stolen car. They found the car in the area of 37th Street later but could not immediately tell who had stolen it.

That night police say they learned that 24-year-old Brian Englemann of Mystic Beach, New York, had posted a series of videos on the social media app Snapchat showing himself stealing the car and driving recklessly to 37th Street.

Police say they found the suspect at Seacrets later that night and arrested him. Englemann was charged with vehicle theft and multiple traffic violations and ordered to be held at the Worcester County Jail on 20,000 dollars bond.
