DOVER, Del. - An active shooter training exercise will take place Friday at the Dover Air Force Base, according to base officials, meaning people in the area may see an unusual amount of emergency personnel around the base.

The base said the exercise may cause traffic delays across the base, including the entry grates. The base added that people may hear unfamiliar alarms and loud sounds, and see an increase in the amount of emergency responders, firefighters, and police across the base.

Please be aware of your surroundings and understand that it is an exercise, the base said.
